Policy officer in the Farm to Fork Strategy Unit
Description
Isabelle Rollier is a policy officer in the Farm to Fork Strategy Unit, Directorate General for Health and Food Safety. She is responsible for several files related to the Farm to Fork Strategy and in particular as regards its international dimension as well as the Code of Conduct.
Mrs Rollier has been working at the Commission on a variety of files since 1999. First she was a veterinary inspector at the then Food and Veterinary Office in Ireland. Since 2001 she was in charge of preparing the Commission’s contribution to the WTO-SPS Committee (sanitary and phytosanitary standards) and she was responsible for bilateral international relations with several countries in the far East. In addition since 2005 she developed SPS capacity building within the International Unit and was responsible for the non-EU angle of the BTSF program (Better Training for Safer Food). Since 2012 she joined full-time the BTSF team until September 2020.
Prior to joining the Commission, Mrs. Rollier worked at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Ghent, Belgium, as a scientist and lecturer. She graduated as a doctor in veterinary medicine at that same University in 1989 and obtained an additional Master Degree and PhD in food microbiology.
